Institut Keberlanjutan Satya (Satya Institute for Sustainability) is a research, training and consulting institute of Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau (UIN SUSKA) Riau. The institute envisions creating a better and more sustainable society, economy and environment, both now and in the future. By leveraging state-of-the-art knowledge, the institute is dedicated to promoting and accelerating socially, economically, and environmentally inclusive sustainable development through its research, training, and consulting services.
The institute aims to generate new insights that drive sustainability innovation. It also focuses on disseminating and sharing knowledge, enhancing sustainability awareness, knowledge, skills, attitudes and values, and translating new knowledge into sustainable (individual and collective) behaviours and practices.
To achieve these goals, the institute has formed collaborative, interdisciplinary teams comprising experts, researchers and students to:
Provide evidence-based insights into policy-making and practices for inclusive sustainable development through inter-, multi-, and transdisciplinary research.
Develop capacities for sustainability within society and government through lifelong learning.
Offer recommendations, guidelines and support for sustainability policy-making, research, and practice.
