Muhammad Fauzan Ansyari, MSc. PhD.

Director

Dr. Muhammad Fauzan Ansyari, MSc. PhD. is an associate professor at the Postgraduate Studies of the State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, Indonesia, and an affiliated researcher at the United Nations University-Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT), Netherlands. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Science and Technology with a specialization in Curriculum, Instruction, and Media Applications from the University of Twente. He earned his PhD from Maastricht University’s School of Business and Economics.

Dr. Ansyari’s research interests include quality education, digitalization and economic transformation, educational technology, teacher professional development, and teaching English to speakers of other languages. Utilizing an interdisciplinary approach and mixed methods, including econometrics and supervised machine learning, he has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals such as Educational Research Review, Teaching and Teacher Education, Journal of Professional Capital and Community, and Australasian Journal of Educational Technology.

He has participated in international and national projects, including work with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), UNESCO, and UNICEF on digital skills development and the role of technology in early learning. In Indonesia, Dr. Ansyari has contributed to numerous government and foreign-funded projects aimed at enhancing teacher capacity and curriculum development.

Kunaifi, ST. PgDipEnSt. MSc. PhD.

Vice Director

Dr. Kunaifi is a distinguished professional with over 13 years of experience in sustainable energy research and project management. He is currently a Vice Director at the Satya Institute for Sustainability at UIN Suska Riau University, where he has been instrumental in leading and facilitating cutting-edge research and building a community of innovative researchers. Dr. Kunaifi also serves as a permanent lecturer at UIN Suska Riau University, specializing in renewable energy and energy efficiency. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Solar Photovoltaic Systems from the University of Twente, an M.Sc. in Renewable Energy, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Studies from Murdoch University, Australia.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kunaifi has led and contributed to over 15 energy consulting projects funded by prominent European institutions, leading Indonesian organizations, and various local governments. His expertise spans renewable energy resource assessment, solar photovoltaic system design and analysis, hybrid-microgrid power systems, and energy conservation. He has conducted feasibility studies, energy audits, and management for clean energy projects, emphasizing the intersection of energy and sustainable development.

Dr. Kunaifi’s professional journey includes roles as Vice Dean for Student and External Cooperations at the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Suska Riau University, and Senior Researcher at Lembaga Enreach. He has also collaborated with international organizations such as GIZ Germany, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, and various local and national stakeholders. As an educator, he has developed curricula for sustainable energy programs and has been recognized for his ability to teach complex technical subjects clearly. He has received several awards, including the Best Lecturer Award from the Electrical Engineering students at UIN Suska Riau University in 2012. His dedication to education is further demonstrated by his involvement in mentoring students and facilitating research and experimentation.

Dr. Kunaifi has published numerous books and articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work at international conferences. His commitment to renewable energy and sustainable development is evident in his extensive list of invited talks and media coverage. With a strong background in both academia and industry, Dr. Kunaifi continues to make significant contributions to the field of renewable energy and sustainable development.

Dr. Dodi Settiawan M. Pd.

Secretary

Dr. Dodi Settiawan, a distinguished academic, currently serves as a lecturer at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training at Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. His research interests encompass curriculum design and development, technology integration in education, and teacher professional development, reflecting his commitment to enhancing educational practices.

Dr. Dodi has made significant contributions to the academic community through his extensive research and publications. His work has been featured in reputable journals such as the Journal of Applied Research in Higher Education. He has also been actively involved in various international projects and training programs, including the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, and the E-teacher Scholarship program by the University of Oregon. His dedication to improving educational assessment processes and integrating technology in education underscores his role as a key figure in advancing educational methodologies.

In addition to his academic and research endeavors, Dr. Dodi is a recognized member of several professional organizations, including the International Exchange Alumni of the U.S. Department of State and the US-Indonesia Teacher Education Consortium. His professional journey is marked by a series of accolades and verified reviews, highlighting his expertise and influence in the field of education.
